If you’ve ever felt stuck waiting for someone to “choose” you—this episode is your wake-up call.
Today’s episode is all about the power of asking, being bold, and shooting your shot—even (especially!) when it makes your stomach flip. I’m sharing real, personal stories of the times I decided to go first, introduce myself, raise my hand, or slide into the DMs… and how those moments completely transformed my life and business.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
Why delusion + audacity = magic
How I went from fangirl to friend with a Dream 100 client
What to check in with before you shoot your shot
The mindset shift that’ll have you sending the pitch, applying to the program, or asking for the meeting
And why rejection? Yeah, it’s just redirection.

I saw a post recently that said: “All you need is a little delusion and the audacity, and you can seriously do anything in this life.”
That one hit hard, because it’s not just a cute quote. It’s literally how I’ve built everything in my business and my life. From speaking on the right stages… To building deep friendships with dream clients… To off-roading with total strangers I met on the freeway (true story)...
Every big moment that’s moved my life and business forward started with one thing: I shot my shot. And that’s what I want to talk to you about today. We’re diving deep into how to ask for what you want boldly, authentically, and with zero attachment to the outcome. Because when you know how to lead with genuine intention (not desperation), doors open. Big ones.
It’s Not Just About Strategy, It’s About Self-Trust
People talk a lot about strategy. But the truth is, most of what’s gotten me where I am has been from following that nudge. The one that says, “DM her.” “Apply anyway.” “Leave the note on the car.” No secret funnel. No perfect email sequence. Just the audacity to believe that maybe… just maybe, it could work.
And when you move from that place? You become magnetic. It’s not about being the loudest person in the room. It’s about being the most aligned. When you can let go of the outcome and make the ask anyway, you show people exactly who you are: a leader who trusts herself. And trust is what people are really buying when they invest in you.
Here’s What That’s Looked Like For Me
I asked to be on my first podcast, and they said yes.
I asked to teach inside the program that launched my second company, and it became the springboard for Workflow Queen.
I applied to work with a coach whose program I was underqualified for, and ended up out-launching every single person in her group.
I left a literal note on a stranger’s car in Arizona and made an off-roading bestie.
I took a photo of someone’s license plate on the freeway, found their off-road IG, and became instant friends.
I manifested dream clients who ended up becoming even better friends.
Every one of those stories started with a small but bold decision: To go first. To raise my hand. To ask. And I don’t say that to brag. I say it because I know how scary it can feel to ask. To risk the "no." But the truth is, most people are waiting to say yes. They're just waiting for someone to make the first move.
That One Small Ask Might Be the Big Break
So often we think opportunities will come when the timing is right or when we’re “more qualified.” But the real secret? Your next level is usually hiding behind a small, intentional ask.
Want to be on someone’s podcast? DM them.
Want to connect with a mentor? Tell them what resonated.
Want to build relationships with your dream clients? Get in the damn room and lead with service, not strategy.
This isn’t about being pushy. It’s about being present. The best asks are rooted in genuine connection, not a hidden agenda. People can feel the difference between ambition and alignment. And when you lead with generosity, honesty, and true curiosity, you stand out without even trying.
One of the most valuable lessons I've learned is that people like helping people who know what they want. And the clearer you are about what that is, the easier it is for others to get behind you.
The 3-Part Mindset Shift Behind Every Brave Ask
Choose Yourself First: Stop waiting to be chosen. Opportunities don’t always knock, you have to build the door.
Let Rejection Be Redirection: Not everyone will say yes. Some won’t respond. That’s okay. Every “no” is pointing you toward something better or more aligned.
Make Boldness a Habit, Not a Moment: Don’t wait for the “perfect” time. Practice putting yourself out there in small, consistent ways. Eventually, courage becomes second nature.
If I want something, I ask for it. I’m not afraid to go first. That’s a superpower I’ve claimed, and one I want you to claim, too.
Before You Ask, Ask Yourself This
Before you pitch the idea or hit send on that DM, pause. Ask yourself: Is this coming from alignment, or from lack? If your ask is rooted in proving something, it’s not the one. If it’s coming from true desire and intentionality? That’s when the magic happens.
The right people will feel your energy. They’ll sense your heart. And even if they say no, it’ll still be a win, because you moved in integrity with what you want. Sometimes the most courageous thing you can do is not get the yes, it's showing up powerfully even when you don't.
Your Challenge This Week
Pick one thing you’ve been holding back on. The DM you haven’t sent. The person you haven’t introduced yourself to. The opportunity you keep talking yourself out of…
And shoot your shot.
Say the thing. Ask the question. Make the move.
You’ll either get what you want, or you’ll get the confidence that comes from backing yourself.
Then DM me at @magneticprofits. I want to hear how it goes. Let’s make bold moves a normal part of how we lead, connect, and grow. Because this is what it means to be a Magnetic Millionaire. We don’t wait to be chosen. We choose ourselves.
